I have a dog who is literally my shadow. My best friend. My reason. My heart.

He’s also why I go out in the rain, and always have little bags in my pockets and purses.
This gallery is the heart of my portrait art, created for others who know that same extraordinary love

Anyone who has a cherished pet knows a very very bad day is coming.
Anyone who has been through the pain of losing a beloved companion knows that the grief can be extraordinary.

We all grieve in our own way, and I don’t have any wisdom, or magic ways to make the loss more manageable.

But what I can do is try to honour your relationship, to create a memorial to their character, their personality.
To pay tribute to the love you shared.

I want to create art that reflects the happy times, the bond between you, the way they sprawled out on the couch, slept upside down, or always gave you their favourite toy.
The joyful, the grumpy, the happy, the sad, the real, the weird…
The things only you knew about them.

Don’t be put off if you only have a small, blurry photo, that doesn’t show their face.
The fact you kept it, means it holds a cherished memory.
And I will find a way to honour that.
