Tongues Out, Fun’s Out

A fun portrait of a happy cockapoo whose pink tongue is hanging out
Black fur can be a bit tricky to get right. I use reflected light and the different directions the fur grows to create texture, energy and shape.
I try to focus on the individual character and their personality, which was easy with this little guy and his bright eyes, and that happy smile and pink tongue.
