Memorial tribute portrait of a happy, smiling, West Highland Terrier.
White Fur is tricky to draw. Particularly on white paper.
I love the challenge.
I included reflected colours in the fur, but I kept the background white- rather than recreating green grass or pebbles on a beach.
I like the contemporary style, and the attention it brings to the star, and her gorgeous face, amazing pointy ears, and of course that twinkle in her eyes.

This artwork was commissioned as a gift for the grieving owner.
I was given a few background details, and wanted to create a lasting reminder of the happy life they shared and the joy this little missy brought to the world.
